Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is made up of five elected parents, our Principal and a staff representative.

As a Board, we  have responsibility for the governance of the school, while the Principal and Senior Leadership Team has the responsibility for the overall management of the school on a daily basis.

The Board are committed to supporting and resourcing the school to provide a safe learning environment and quality education for all our students. We are focused on student progress and achievement, and continuous improvement of the school curriculum. We strive to achieve our Mission: To Educate for Life, and regularly review the School Charter and Strategic Goals.

The Board of Trustees meets monthly - see dates below.

All members of the community are welcome to attend the Board meetings.  The following procedures apply when a member of the public attends a meeting.  Members of the public include staff, students and parents’ families and whānau of the school community who are not members of the board.

·   Board meetings are not public meetings but meetings are held in public.
·   If the meeting moves to exclude the public (usually to protect the privacy of individuals), members of
the public will be asked to leave the meeting until this aspect of business has been concluded.
·   Members of the public may be given copies of the meeting agenda and associated reports (and may
be asked to return copies of reports that are provided at the conclusion of the meeting).
·  Members of the public may request to speak on a particular item that is on the agenda. Preferably,
this request should be made in advance of the meeting.
·  The Chair of the Board (or other person presiding over the meeting) will advise of any procedures,
rules or restrictions that may apply and that are appropriate for the conduct of the meeting, including
   time restrictions for speakers.
·  Speakers are to speak to the specific agenda item.
·  Speakers shall not be disrespectful or offensive or make malicious statements or claims and shall
observe the rules and restrictions that apply.
·  If the person presiding over the meeting believes that any of these conditions have been breached or
the speaker has gone over time, they may be asked to finish.

Meetings are held in the staffroom and start at 6.30pm.
